Hardwood
is the most attractive flooring in the house. Because of its natural and
visual beauty, it's usually the first to be noticed in a home. Since
hardwood is a permanent floor, you should invest the most amount of money
in this type of floor. Hardwood floors typically add 10% to the home
value. All hardwoods sold at Della Floors are First Quality
and carry a life-time structural and moisture warranty. The finish (or
wear) warranty ranges from 10
to 25 years.
Engineered
Hardwood Engineered
hardwoods are glued down directly to the sub-floor. They provide the best
sound quality and dimensional stability. Engineered hardwoods are made of
several plys. First quality hardwoods have a life-time moisture and
structural warranty. They are extremely strong and very resistant to
warping or movement. Solid
Hardwood Solid
hardwoods are nailed down. First, plywood is nailed down to the sub-floor
or concrete, then hardwood is nailed down to plywood. Typically the floor
will be raised about 1.5 inches. This could cause problems with door
openings, baseboards or other objects. The popularity of solid hardwoods
has faded for good reasons. They are susceptible to moisture, humidity and
warping. Most people think that it can be sanded and refinished over and
over, but that's not true. Solid hardwood can be sanded down as far as the
nail, which could be only a few millimeters. Most companies don't make
solid hardwoods any longer. Moldings: Moldings (T-Mold, Stair Nose, 1/4 Rounds) are matching parts that come with the hardwood you choose. They are solid pieces of wood as opposed to engineered hardwood. These moldings would have different shades than the hardwood. Care
& Maintenance Just
dust as needed, that's all. You should not use any chemicals or wet
mopping. For occasional cleaning of spills or spots, use PH balanced
cleaning products available at our showroom or other stores. Questions
