Tile, Granite, Marble

As with other hard surfaces, tile brings a permanent beauty to a home. Tile has a   limitless   number of patterns, textures, colors and design possibilities. It is versatile and can be used anywhere in the house; from kitchen to bedroom. Tile, granite and marble can be mixed to create intricate geometric designs and shapes.

Grout Color

We recommend selecting a grout color that’s a little darker than the tile. We don't seal the grout.

Care & Maintenance

For granite and marble, please see countertop section. For tiles, just mop with any household cleaning products. Try to avoid using bleach as it slowly etches the glazed surface of tiles.

Questions & Answers

  • Q. Grout color is not uniform, with light and dark spots, what happened?

  • A. This has nothing to do with the quality of our work and we did not make any mistakes. Grout manufacturers admit of having no answer for this problem. Fortunately, they also have a solution for it. This is a random problem and  happens occasionally. We can not  predict it but if this happens, we can fix it at no cost to the customer.

  • Q. How long should I wait before walking on newly laid tiles?

  • A. 8 hours

  • Q. It seems that new tiles are dirty after workers left.

  • A. There will be  an invisible thin film on tiles after grouting. Workers can not mop the floor since grout is still wet. Wait  couple of days and then mop the floor.

  • Q. Can I use any kind of tiles on my porch or patio?

  • A.  No, you should use porcelain or slate.

  • Q. What size tile should I use in my house?

  • A. 12” to 14” tiles are recommended for residential applications. Bigger tiles are suited best in commercial buildings and large spaces.

  • Q. Do you recommend using travertine or marble in the shower?

  • A. No, natural stones are not strong enough to be used in such a  harsh environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity and chemicals.

  • Q. Do I need to seal marble or granites?

  • A. Most  natural stones are already sealed. You should not need to seal them unless the surface shows signs of wear.

  • Q. What kind of cleaning products should I use to clean tiles?

  • A.  Any cleaning product that doesn’t contain bleach.

  • Q. I have a cracked tile. How difficult is it to repair?

  • A. Very easy.  Repair or replacing tiles is a routine job, but you should have the tiles. We only do repairs for our own customers.
